Under the new leadership of Crown Prince Azam Sheikh, the 1s had a 'friendly' booked down against the fellow team that came down into our league, the rich private school boys of LSE. Fresh faces included the young fresher Ashvin and the old finalist fresher Saj, the man who paid qm subs. Amnesia had hit the crown prince as we began to chant 1,2,3 he proceeded to shout barts after years of screaming BL. That set the tone nicely as LSE started off without a keeper which we thought would lead to a flurry of opportunities to draw first blood. Unfortunately, we could barely touch the ball as 11 outfielders pinged the ball round creating acres of space to manoeuvre. Despite the umpire giving every possible decision to us, we found ourselves a few goals down when the half time whistle blew. A raucous halftime speech by Coach Foxall led to a some solid parts of the 2nd half with Vice-Captain cowley proving some individual brilliance and G promoted from the back line to the front line providing that we didn't leave the pitch empty handed. Other highlights included Sajeev's Ariel 1m from the lse player before proceeding to commence a verbal barrage of filth accompanied with a side of chest puffing. Finally cannot end without mentioning Krish's swats from the D trying to clear the ball, which he missed by at least 6.9 meters. All in all one to forget!
